Love Island 2021: Viewers brand Horny Devil challenge 'disgusting'
ratings were down by 1million on Tuesday night’s second episode – after 3.3million tuned into watch Monday’s launch.
Viewing figures showed the episode was watched by 2.3m viewers, with 1.2m of these viewers 16-34s. Including ITV Hub viewing the episode was watched by 2.7m viewers. It is typical for viewership to fall after an opening episode.
News of the viewership comes after fans were left unimpressed by the Horny Devil challenge, with some fans even branding the task ‚disgusting‘.

On Monday’s launch the show had a strong peak audience of 3.3m viewers across all devices. The average TV audience was the biggest digital channel audience of the year across any channel, and on par with the last series launch.
The audience was up by 33k viewers on the second episode of the last series
The fall in viewers comes after fans watched the singletons, who were clad in red devil costumes, lock lips for more than 30 seconds and make X-rated confessions- just hours after arriving in the villa.

The challenge saw the islanders divided into two teams, girls versus boys, with each contestant having to read out a statement from a fork and then confer among their team who it is.
Confessions included: ‚This girl once got a sex toy stuck inside her‘, with Jake heading over to kiss Liberty, before it was revealed to be Chloe.
Following the kiss, Jake said in the Beach Hut: ‚She don’t like the tongues I don’t think‘.
Brad then read out another X-rated statement: ‚This girl loves to start her day by sending a tit pic‘, and decided to pick Faye to kiss, who admitted it was her.
